Beskrivelse

Easter Event – Week 2 | From Information to Transformation In this week’s message, we step into Luke 24 and walk alongside the two disciples on the road to Emmaus—a moment filled with confusion, disappointment, and ultimately, divine revelation. These disciples had hoped Jesus would be the One… but because He didn’t meet their expectations, they lost hope. Sound familiar? At some point, we’ve all experienced hope deferred. Yet even after hearing reports of the empty tomb, they still couldn’t see what God was doing right in front of them. Why? Because sometimes our perspective limits our ability to recognize God’s power. Jesus begins to unfold the Scriptures, revealing how everything—from Moses to the prophets—pointed to Him. What we often call “types and shadows” comes alive as we see glimpses of Christ through figures like Moses, Joseph, Boaz, Esther, and Hosea. This is more than theology—it’s a reminder that God has always had a redemptive plan. But the turning point wasn’t just information—it was encounter. As they urged Jesus to stay, they leaned into His presence. In that moment, we see a powerful truth: we weren’t created for occasional connection, but daily dependence. As Isaiah 26:3 reminds us, God keeps in perfect peace the one whose mind is stayed—fully dependent—on Him. Then comes the breakthrough. In the breaking of bread, their eyes are opened. And in Luke 24:32, they declare, “Did not our hearts burn within us?” What started as confusion turned into clarity. What began as information became transformation. That’s the invitation for all of us. Not just to know about Jesus—but to encounter Him in a way that sets our hearts on fire. episode "The Chronicles": Week ONE. June 7th, 2026 cover

"The Chronicles": Week ONE. June 7th, 2026

History Through the Lens of God’s Faithfulness | Chronicles Series – Week 1 What if the purpose of remembering the past isn't to relive it, but to rediscover the faithfulness of God within it? In Week 1 of our Chronicles series, we explore how the genealogies, stories, and mighty warriors recorded in 1 Chronicles point to a greater truth: God has always been faithful to His people. From Jacob being remembered as Israel—his redeemed identity—to the hidden faithfulness of the Merarites who supported worship behind the scenes, to David’s mighty men who stood with God’s anointed king, every chapter reminds us that God sees, redeems, strengthens, and works through ordinary people. Together we'll discover: • Why God remembers us by our redeemed identity, not our past failures • The power of unseen faithfulness in the Kingdom of God • Why David surrounded himself with giant-slayers • What Benaiah’s incredible victories reveal about courage and faith • How the mighty warriors foreshadow the greater victory of King Jesus Most importantly, we'll learn why 1 & 2 Chronicles were written—to help God’s people remember their history through the lens of His faithfulness and return to their First Love, even in difficult seasons. As you listen, take time to reflect on your own story and ask: Where has God been faithful in my history? Takeaway: "Our history, remembered through the lens of God's faithfulness." No matter the season, Christ remains faithful—and He is worthy of being remembered.

Fellowship Sunday -May 31st 2026

Podcast Episode Description What happens when we stop trying to be the deciding factor of our own lives? In this Pentecost message, Pastor Lindsey explores the transition from Acts 1 to Acts 2 and how the coming of the Holy Spirit changed the way God's people discern His will. Before Pentecost, the disciples cast lots to make important decisions, trusting God to guide the outcome. But after the Holy Spirit was poured out, we never see them return to that practice. Why? Because they were no longer relying on chance—they were being led by the Spirit. Drawing from Genesis 1, we also discover the rich Hebrew meaning of tov ("good"). When God declared creation good, He wasn't simply saying it was pleasant—He was recognizing that it was functioning according to His design and purpose. The same is true for us. We are most "good" when our lives are aligned with the intentions of our Creator. Through Scripture, personal stories, and practical examples, this sermon challenges us to lay down our need for control, stop "casting lots" with our own plans and preferences, and trust the Lord to direct our paths. Key Scriptures: Acts 1:12-26, Genesis 1:1-31, Proverbs 3:5-6, John 3:30 Big Idea: You were created not to be the deciding factor of your life. Join us as we learn what it means to put down the dice, take hold of God's hand, and allow the Holy Spirit to lead us into the life we were created for.

episode Pentecost Sunday - Homecoming 2026 cover

Pentecost Sunday - Homecoming 2026

On this special Pentecost Sunday + Homecoming gathering at True North Church, we explored why it is no coincidence these two moments landed together. From Genesis 1 to Acts 2, we traced the movement of the Holy Spirit across Scripture and discovered that the same Spirit who hovered over the waters in creation now lives within believers today. This message challenges the truth that the Holy Spirit is NOT only for “church moments” but He empowers believers in the day to day practical parts of our lives as well. We also unpacked the miracle of Pentecost, Peter’s bold sermon, and the explosive growth of the early church—not because of modern systems or productions, but because ordinary people were filled with the Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit is not distant. He is our Advocate, Helper, Companion, and the empowering presence of God dwelling within us. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead now lives in you. Scripture References: Genesis 1:1–2 Acts 1–2 John 14:16–26 We pray this message stirs your hunger to live led by the Holy Spirit every day—not just on Sundays.

episode Pursuit - May 17th 2026 cover

Pursuit - May 17th 2026

Here’s a podcast episode description based on your sermon notes: In this week’s message at True North Church, we explored what it truly means to pursue Jesus. Using Mark 2:1–12, we looked at the powerful story of the paralytic man lowered through the roof and discovered that pursuit is not passive — it is active, persistent, and fueled by faith. Jesus responds to people who seek Him with confidence, surrender, and expectation. We unpacked how worship is more than singing; it is a lifestyle of pursuit. From Matthew 7:7–8 to the faith of the Roman centurion, this message challenges us to stop pursuing a version of Jesus made in our image and instead surrender to being transformed into His image from glory to glory. If pursuit reveals desire, then the question becomes: what are we truly chasing? This message will encourage you to trust Jesus for who He says He is, pursue Him daily, and believe that He rewards those who diligently seek Him.

Council of moms- Mother's Day 2026

This week at True North Church, we did something a little different. Instead of a traditional sermon, we gathered around the wisdom of mothers. Our “Council of Moms” shared honest stories, hard-earned wisdom, laughter, and encouragement about parenting, marriage, faith, discipleship, and what it really looks like to follow Jesus in everyday life. From raising children to navigating difficult seasons, this conversation reminded us that faith is often formed in the ordinary moments of love, sacrifice, prayer, and presence. Whether you’re a parent, grandparent, young adult, or simply someone looking for wisdom and encouragement, this conversation is full of practical insight and heartfelt reminders that God is present in every season of life. We pray this episode encourages you, strengthens your family, and points you toward deeper trust in Jesus.
