"The Chronicles": Week ONE. June 7th, 2026

History Through the Lens of God’s Faithfulness | Chronicles Series – Week 1 What if the purpose of remembering the past isn't to relive it, but to rediscover the faithfulness of God within it? In Week 1 of our Chronicles series, we explore how the genealogies, stories, and mighty warriors recorded in 1 Chronicles point to a greater truth: God has always been faithful to His people. From Jacob being remembered as Israel—his redeemed identity—to the hidden faithfulness of the Merarites who supported worship behind the scenes, to David’s mighty men who stood with God’s anointed king, every chapter reminds us that God sees, redeems, strengthens, and works through ordinary people. Together we'll discover: • Why God remembers us by our redeemed identity, not our past failures • The power of unseen faithfulness in the Kingdom of God • Why David surrounded himself with giant-slayers • What Benaiah’s incredible victories reveal about courage and faith • How the mighty warriors foreshadow the greater victory of King Jesus Most importantly, we'll learn why 1 & 2 Chronicles were written—to help God’s people remember their history through the lens of His faithfulness and return to their First Love, even in difficult seasons. Podcast Episode Description What happens when we stop trying to be the deciding factor of our own lives? In this Pentecost message, Pastor Lindsey explores the transition from Acts 1 to Acts 2 and how the coming of the Holy Spirit changed the way God's people discern His will. Before Pentecost, the disciples cast lots to make important decisions, trusting God to guide the outcome. But after the Holy Spirit was poured out, we never see them return to that practice. Why? When God declared creation good, He wasn't simply saying it was pleasant—He was recognizing that it was functioning according to His design and purpose. The same is true for us. We are most "good" when our lives are aligned with the intentions of our Creator. Through Scripture, personal stories, and practical examples, this sermon challenges us to lay down our need for control, stop "casting lots" with our own plans and preferences, and trust the Lord to direct our paths. Pentecost Sunday - Homecoming 2026

On this special Pentecost Sunday + Homecoming gathering at True North Church, we explored why it is no coincidence these two moments landed together. From Genesis 1 to Acts 2, we traced the movement of the Holy Spirit across Scripture and discovered that the same Spirit who hovered over the waters in creation now lives within believers today. This message challenges the truth that the Holy Spirit is NOT only for “church moments” but He empowers believers in the day to day practical parts of our lives as well. We also unpacked the miracle of Pentecost, Peter’s bold sermon, and the explosive growth of the early church—not because of modern systems or productions, but because ordinary people were filled with the Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit is not distant. He is our Advocate, Helper, Companion, and the empowering presence of God dwelling within us. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead now lives in you. Pursuit - May 17th 2026
