A former Veterans Affairs staffer, Darryl Rae, has appeared at Sandgate Magistrates Court charged with falsely wearing six military decorations he was not entitled to at an Anzac Day ceremony. The 59-year-old former Navy seaman has pleaded not guilty to allegations he wore the Australian Active Service Medal, the Iraq Medal and the Timor-Leste Solidarity Medal.
