BHP workers at Port Hedland have conducted an eight-hour strike, ending nearly three decades of industrial peace on Pilbara mine sites. The industrial action, expected to cost $50 million in revenue and royalties, follows the collapse of negotiations between the mining company and unions over pay and conditions.
