Author Michael P. Waterman continues the study of “A Leader’s Call” and concludes the book by going over Chapter 17: David: A Man after the Heart of God: We finish our study in the life of King David by examining how he went out. After experiencing the pain and suffering in the last chapter, David got back on track with the Lord. He set a great example of how to leave this life. After the failures with his other sons, David poured the rest of his life in young Solomon, the next king. He prepared his son to be the next King of Israel and instructed him to build the Temple. We will view the raping of a half-sister, the murder of a half-brother, and the complete rebellion and death of a son.
