Friends; Countrymen; Highwaymen; Indie movie fans and cool cats in general, do we have a tried-and-true treat for you. What started out as some kind of practical joke by Todd turned out to be one of our best movies yet. Sure, on the surface a film about a teenage girl in sensual love with her widower father who then, once he starts dating, turns to extreme violence leading to a significant confrontation with a fierce topless female boxer sounds like a bad time, but holy sh*t the joke is on us! This movie is amazing and in this episode: Todd reveals his favorite non-masculine bar drink; We discuss at length the proper clothing for opening and shutting down a disgusting local bar; Ryan brings a savage takedown to locker-room culture, possibly inspired by years of bullying, Todd talks lingerie shopping do’s and do not’s; Somehow we completely dismantle all of Parrot-Head culture and we vote on our favorite topless boxers of the last half-century. As always, thank you for listening to our show, topless or otherwise and if you tell someone about our show, email us and let us know you did it, we will send you a topless photo. alittleindependentpodcast@gmail.com [alittleindependentpodcast@gmail.com] #waitwait #arewerolling #montedoroforever #teamjulie #teambeth #youneedfuel

Liquid Sky

Is this the one where we lose you? We almost lost Todd. However, in our effort to bring you the MOST independent, obscure and just plain weird movies, we accidentally succeed; and we must. Liquid Sky is the sort of movie for which and for why (is that even correct?) we do this show…and probably breathe the live giving air we breathe. Never before has a movie done so much to us. Given so much to us. Maybe even took a little something from Todd. His innocence? Again, in this episode we celebrate experience, music, shrimp, fashion, dance, New York, Alien encounters, the best screen acting performance of all time and the most insane film soundtrack you have or will ever hear. Not enough? Also, in the episode we discuss the best way to truly enjoy interpretive dance; Todd shockingly admits to never having abused heroin…or a heroine; we delve deep into the history of cinema spaceship design using tupperware; Ryan shares his perfect alien abduction fantasy (so much probing); Todd worries this movie took away his sense of smell; we discuss in detail the finest acting performance in history from Anne Carlisle; Todd discusses his disdain for tofu and Ryan is currently looking for Liquid Sky hot pants. Whether you’re here for Jimmy, Margaret, shrimp, Paula, erratic heartbeats, you or your Rhythm Box, please listen to this amazing soundtrack on 11 for your next gathering. You will have no more friends. Cuisine De La Pocalypse Interview

Friends of absolutely cool and unique movies, as promised, here is the interview we impossibly got to conduct with writer/director Kyle Weingart and stars Kevin Jack and Zuzu Weingart of the film Cuisine De La Pocalypse. If you listerned to the traditional episode about the movie, you certainly know our strong feelings about it. This time we got to celebrate some the very crucial and amazing people who made this film. They were all more generous and profound than we even imagined. and we truly did our best to ask intersting questions and not squander this awesome opportunity. If you haven't listened to the episode discussing the film, please do. If you haven't watched this amazing, heartfelt and funny film. Stop all of this and do that first. We...will always be here. Also, please check out the upcoming film Dark Projections from these auteurs as well as their other projects. We are so stoked to have talked to these awesome humans. Thank you for your support of our little show and to Zuzu for not just getting gas at that gas station...whew! alittleindependentpodcast@gmail.com [alittleindependentpodcast@gmail.com] Landeaux, get at us.

Cuisine de la 'Pocalypse

Friends of movies and friends of the end; this is the movie for you. Now, we are a bit biased toward this film having interviewed the writer/director and two of the stars…WHAT!?!?!?!?! Yes, it is true. We’ve done it again and have connected with very cool and inspiring people who made a tremendous film. First, we share with you the usual episode fraught with sexual tension and beer farts -but knowing we got to talk to the providers of the feast, as it were, made it all the sweeter. All food puns aside, we have a delicious episode ahead for you. In this episode we discuss the importance of maniacal obsession; Ryan shares his most harrowing food moment; We discuss the importance of Lita Ford on a Hero’s Journey; Todd loses his shit when pressed on the topic of Monsanto; Ryan doubles down on a previous claim that bacon is overrated; Todd shares why Halloween is a nightmare for him and his entire family; Ryan finally gets the spiritual bitch slap Todd has been promising and in response we get the show’s first on air kiss. And hey, we shockingly get through the entire episode not making the whole show about Xena: Warrior Princess. Get at us at alittleindependentpodcast@gmail.com [alittleindependentpodcast@gmail.com] and tell us your favorite Xena episodes. And look out for the next episode, featuring that sexy interview we hinted about in the opening #waitwait #arewerolling #montedoroforever #thelunchroom #foddmattersgray #tacotuesday #noforeplay #montanasexy #nocurtain #exposed #landeauxisatreasure #sweetmelissa

episode Interview with Jason Krawczyk artwork

Interview with Jason Krawczyk

Indiependents, boy, are we just defenestrated with glee over the fact that we had the privilege of interviewing Writer/Director (amongst other incredible talents) Jason Krawczyk; and not only did we get his name nearly correct this time, but we also found out what his ultimate funeral honorarium would be! That was not an intention of this interview, but we got that and so much more! We could not be more stoked at how awesome and cool Jason is and again, how much we LOVE his movies. Listen ahead to hear about defenestration, Ess, Zane and so much more! Thank you, Jason, for doing this and for your art. Of course, obsessively watch He Never Died and Don’t Mess with Grandma aka Sunset Superman; but also check out the shop Jason co-owns www.littleghostsbook.com [http://www.littleghostsbook.com] (Jason has a screenwriting workshop coming up starting January 21); he has written several publications, including “An Earth That Knows Magic” and has his first novel coming out soon. As we said it. This filmmaker gets us and we are so excited for this conversation. His new film RooOOooOOoom Mates is in production now and Jason, if you need to defenestrate two podcasters in your new movie – we’re in! Thank you for listening and please get at us to tell us how many times you’ve been defenestrated: alittleindependentpodcast@gmail.com [alittleindependentpodcast@gmail.com] #waitwait #arewerolling #montedoroforever #littleghostsbooks
