Orange is the New Black is a really great show that we immediately start criticizing the worst parts. And then we criticize ourselves for being harder on women-made media. And then we criticize Francis Ha. We also talk about how sexy Laura Prepon's Alex is, and how we forget every other character's name. Lots and lots of discussion on queerness. Our Living As A Feminist Question Of The Week is "Does being in a hetero relationship mean you are hetero?" As always, we provide interesting wishy-washy answers.

Fan Art is Not Art

This episode is dedicated to fan art, fan fiction, and fan culture! Is it feminist? Is it capitalist? Is it (metaphorically) colonialist? We have the answers (no we don't). We have a very special guest, Mel, offering us her mind-blowing insights into all things "fan" and uses the word "possibilities" a lot. Our Living As A Feminist Question Of The Week is "How should feminists respond to name-calling?" We drop the C-word a lot (not c-word as in cancer and not as in the show). An RPG Of One's Own In Which To Identify

Catching up on the feminist issues in the three videogames we've been playing over the winter -Mass Effect, Red Dead Redemption and Guild Wars 2 are all deeply interrogated in terms of gender kind of not really. We mostly talk about identification and making our sims make out with everyone. In celebration of our spirit animal tv show 'Girls' returning, we replace our Living as a Feminist Question of the Week with a new segment, Girls Update.
