A Sermon Library by Gabriel Roman
On June 14, 2026, at The Table Church, Gabriel Roman preached from Matthew 9:35–38. As Jesus looked upon the crowds, he was moved with compassion because they were "harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd." Before Jesus sends his disciples into the harvest field, he first calls them to prayer. This sermon explores how evangelism begins not with strategies or conversations, but with seeing people as Jesus sees them, caring for them with his compassion, and faithfully praying for them. As followers of Christ, we are invited to participate in God's mission by becoming workers in his harvest.
