A Spice on the Hill
A Spice on the Hill serves up the first round of its St. Paddy’s special with a rich blend of stories, memories and heartfelt moments. In Part One, host Johnny Hourigan is joined by Dulwich Hamlet Women’s gaffer Richie Byrne, groundsman and devoted fan Joe McGin, and Pepper Army favourite Big Al. This opening half looks back at where it all began, exploring their journeys before crossing paths at Champion Hill. From early experiences and standout memories to life beyond football, the conversation reflects on the roads taken and the “what ifs” along the way. It’s a thoughtful, warm and honest start to the episode, celebrating the paths that led them to Dulwich Hamlet, while appreciating the moments that shaped them, all wrapped in good vibes and a gentle kick of spice, like a little extra heat in the pot of gold. Editor’s Note A shamrockin’ start to this first half, where the conversation feels sincere, thoughtful and full of warmth. There’s a promise that things might not get too wild by the halfway point, even with a spicy punch that kicks harder than a usual pint of the black stuff. Either way, it’s been well served and fresh with flavour, keeping the craic flowing and the chilli flames just about ticking over nicely. - Johnny Hourigan ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast.
