In Youth Ministry, May marks the transition to summer events and a slower-paced ministry. 005. Sabbath

We are Across The Table this month with our great friend, grown-up church baby, and now devoted Youth Ministry Leadership Team member, Matthew Shealy, talking about living as Sabbath people. In our hyperactive, overcommitted, and dangerously busy culture, Jesus invites us to embrace simplicity, solitude, prayer, and rest. Join us at the Table as we ponder how to faithfully respond to Jesus's counter-cultural invitation of Sabbath lifestyle.

004. Fearfully and Wonderfully Made

We are joined Across The Table by some old and new friends to Centenary's Youth Ministry. David & Kent Magee are public speakers and storytellers who first visited Centenary back in 2024 to share their message of student, family, and community well-being around topics of mental-health, addiction, and recovery. Our new friend, Mary Ivon Montgomery, came to Centenary for the first time this March to share her professional experience (as a therapist) and her own personal journey in relation to body-image and disordered eating. Listen-in for this intimate conversation about topics that can at times be hard or heavy; and know your Youth Ministry, Shining Light on Mental Health Ministry, and pastoral care team is always here for you.

003. Covenant Community & Confirmation

We all come to faith by 'looking over the shoulder of someone in front of us' (St Francis of Assisi). Join us across the table with our youth-guests, Jack Wall and Mary-Dell Currie, as they re-call what it means to be shepherded through the Confirmation process, to claim Jesus Christ and their faith in HIm as their very own, and what it means to them to be senior high youth-leaders in our covenant community & current Confirmation class. You'll be amazed and inspired!
