Our group of adopters share their own personal stories about why they chose to adopt, but before then, an eventful week filled with trauma, meltdowns, stress and emotions leads to a discussion about something called PACE. Therapeutic parenting is a vital tool when raising adopted children with deep seated trauma, but it's not always the easiest thing to use. In the moment, reactions change, but cool heads prevail. It's a discussion that would have come later in the series, but the nature of our WhatsApp group means that these things are always happening and so we wanted to share our insight into the world of PACE.
