episode 43. Theology of Satan and Demons: Who They Are and What They Do cover

Description

According to the Bible, God has an enemy. Because this enemy has set himself in complete and total opposition to God, he is completely and wholly evil, as opposed to God, who is completely and wholly good. Where did this enemy come from? If God created him, was he always evil? If not, then how and when did he become evil? What passages in the Bible seem to describe him, and what can we understand about God's chief enemy: the satan. Wait... he has minions?! What are they, and what do they do? 45. Theology of Satan and Demons: Spiritual Warfare

Can a Christian become demon possessed? Is "demon possessed" even the right term to use? We take a deeper look at how the New Testament actually describes the relationship between demons and humans and try to get a more precise understanding of what's being said there. We also look at our role in confronting these evil spirits. The New Testament clearly describes them as attacking or harassing people. Jesus began a ministry of driving those evil spiritual beings out of those who are in his kingdom. The apostles and early Church continued that ministry, and from the descriptions we get in the New Testament, it sounds like we are meant to continue that ministry even today.
