Beskrivelse

WHAT DO YOU MEAN S2 IS COMPLETE? 😹   I started the series on a rooftop in Vietnam with no idea on how to edit on premiere pro or use wireless mike. We went from blocking my mother, to now being besties, season 2 was heavily based on the roller-coaster relationship I’ve had with my parents.    From young I always thought I’d be ostracised, so having them in my life came as a pleasant surprise. With 1001 boundaries, difficult conversations, accountability, forgiveness and patience that I don’t know how I managed to have, I somehow made it out the other side.    Season 2 was hard to complete if I’m honest, I’ve had a busy summer with lots of exciting things happening in the background, but it’s got me super burnt out, and with fun-employment starting to feel like full time employment, dare I say I NEED A BREAK.    As an Indian, my dictionary doesn’t include taking breaks, but I know It will do me good.    I’ll be back soon with season 3, lots more to learn, lots more to create, I pray this works out and for my podcast to help anyone who needs it.    MWAH XÂ đŸ©· ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. 1947 PARTITION đŸ‡źđŸ‡łđŸ‡”đŸ‡°

Today’s episode was close to my heart. I recently read my first ever fiction book called baby does a runner, by Anita Rani and it really stuck with me. The book covered the partition of India and Pakistan in 1947 which was one of the greatest mass migrations in history where the horrific effects are felt even today.  It’s no surprise that history repeats itself and the violence taking place across the earth is heartbreaking. Free Palestine.  Through reading this book, I was able to uncover my own family secrets and stories, it pushed me to question my parents about the partition and how it affected their parents, and I believe conversations as such should be happened more often.  Have a listen and feel free share to share your stories, my dms are always open!  ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast.
