Today is Wednesday, March 13, 2024. My name is Jay Carmen and this is Back to the Drawing Board. The Back to the Drawing Board podcast is a place where we revisit the pages of the Bible and rethink its message for today. My name is Jay Carmen. It’s been awhile since my last post. But I am back for this message and today I’m continuing a new theme I started some weeks back. As we reThink the Bible, we’ll be looking at it as more than a work of literature. We’ll be looking at it as a work of inspired authority and authentic history. Because the Bible claims to be all of that: an authentic, authoritative, historical work with words from God Himself. If the Bible is historically accurate, and if its writings and words were directed or spoken (that is, inspired) by God Himself, then there are implications for all of us.

B2DB Episode 8 - Digging Up the Past - The Sign of Jonah

Today is Wednesday, April 3, 2024, and this is Back to the Drawing Board. The Back to the Drawing Board podcast is a place where we revisit the pages of the Bible and rethink its message for today. My name is Jay Carmen and I am your podcast host, narrator, and chief storyteller. In this current series, we’re reThinking the Bible and its message by looking at it as more than a work of literature. We’re looking at it as a work of inspired authority and authentic history. The Bible claims to be just that – an authentic, authoritative, historical work with words from God Himself. This episode was intended to be a lead-up to the Easter celebration here in the United States. But I’m still trying to work out a regular episode posting schedule, and health has been an issue for me, so this episode now follows Easter (instead of preceding it). I hope you’ll bear with me as we start off this bit by recapping a few things . . .

B2DB Episode 6 - Digging Up the Past - Letters to the Future

(New version uploaded Jan. 31st! Sorry. There was an error in the Jan. 30th original.) How would it make you feel if you knew that 60 years from now you’d be, well, just a memory? That details about your life – stories passed down or maybe even written down – would be called into question just because they were old stories? Today is Tuesday, January 30th, 2024. My name is Jay Carmen and this is Back to the Drawing Board. The Back to the Drawing Board podcast is a place where we revisit the pages of the Bible and rethink its message for today.
