Peaceful Christian Parenting | Emotional Regulation, Gentle Parenting, Active Listening, Tantrums, Boundaries
Forgiveness can feel especially tender when the hurt is connected to our parents. In this episode, I’m sharing part of my own journey of forgiveness, healing, and learning to release bitterness while still being honest about what hurt. We’ll walk through four gentle steps from The Book of Forgiving by Desmond Tutu and Mpho Tutu: telling the story, naming the hurt, granting forgiveness, and choosing whether to renew or release the relationship. Together, we’ll talk about what forgiveness is — and what it is not. Forgiveness does not mean pretending it didn’t hurt, excusing what was wrong, or forcing closeness where there has not been safety or repair. But with Jesus, forgiveness can become a pathway toward freedom, peace, and healing in our hearts. Whether your next step is renewal, release, or simply sitting with Jesus in the pain, I pray this episode reminds you that you do not have to rush your healing. God is gentle, His timing is kind, and He can be trusted with every part of your story. If your heart feels led, I would love to support you in your journey of healing.
