Can You EARN Salvation?

We cover so much in this episode. Today, we dive into Ephesians 1 & 2 and talk about how on the day we believed, we were marked with a seal – The Holy Spirit. There was nothing we could ever do to earn our salvation other than have faith in God. It was in that moment – the moment we believed – that we received the promised salvation in Christ Jesus. After that is when the work begins. We don’t work to earn salvation, we work to show our faith. We work and we serve because we love God and have truly come to a revelation of what Jesus did for us on the cross. When we believe that, how could we not want to live every day and every moment for Him? We also talk about how powerful the name of Jesus is. Jesus means “God saves”. It’s at the name of Jesus that demons shudder, and it’s at the name of Jesus that every knee will bow and every tongue will confess He is Lord. This episode is definitely one of my favorites. Enjoy! Overcoming The World

Overcoming the world starts by having faith in who Jesus is, what He said, and what He did for you. Only once you fully grasp what Jesus did for you on the cross, will you truly be able to overcome the world. We overcome the world when we stop being a slave to sin. We overcome the world when we stop being a slave to fear. We overcome the world, especially, when we stop caring what other people think about us. So often, we allow the fear of man and the fear of what people think about us hold us back from God’s purpose for our lives. Overcoming the world means getting rid of that fear and having faith in God. When you let go of your worry, fear, and sin, and really believe that Jesus took it all for you on the cross, you will truly begin to overcome the world and you will truly begin to walk in God’s purpose for your life. Your Body is a Temple

We are called to honor God with our bodies. When we become baptized and born again, we become filled with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit dwells within us – within our bodies. We are no longer our own. We have the Holy Spirit living inside of us! Therefore, we must live and act as though we have the Holy Spirit dwelling within us. If you truly believed you had the Holy Spirit inside of you, would you allow your body to get dragged into sin? Would you dishonor your body by abusing it with drugs, alcohol, and food? We need to start taking the fact that our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit seriously. In today’s episode we talk about all the ways in which we can start to honor our bodies just as God has called us to do! Honoring your body is so worth it, and it greatly pleases the Lord. Watch and Pray

Jesus warned His disciples in Matthew 26 to “keep watch and pray” so that they would not fall into temptation. In today’s world, there is temptation all around us. If we want to stay alert and awake we must keep watch and pray. Always be on the lookout for the schemes of the devil, and make sure you are armed with the Armor of God so that when temptation comes, when worry comes, when sickness comes – you will be able to stand your ground. We must remain in a constant state of watching and praying, and we can only do that by keeping our eyes on Jesus, who is the Word. Pray in the Spirit, meditate on Scripture, go to church, stop sinning, and remain awake and alert so that you may stand firm until the end.
