The entire time there, until she was captured by the Nazis, Anne would write her thoughts and dreams into her diary, while the world outside her hidden walls went to hell. After the Second World War ended, a few helpful hands saw to it that Anne’s diary was made available to the world. It has since been a brutal reminder of what humanity can be capable of at its worst, and what humanity is at its best.
