It’s the sign that knows what it means to feel, and to lead a family, and to hold the emotional weather of the people you love. It’s the sign of the ocean and the moon and every soft body of water you’ve ever returned to. And as the moon’s own sign, this new moon is where she’s most herself. Not asking us to plan or produce or push toward anything. Just asking us to feel. A new moon in Cancer is the most intimate seed-planting of the year. The intentions here don’t need to arrive as clean, articulated goals. Cancer isn’t asking for the perfect language. She’s asking you to notice which area of your life is quietly waving its hand — ready for a shift, or a reset, or just to be looked at again, as if you’re meeting it for the first time, or seeing it after a long time apart. Maybe it’s home. Maybe it’s family. Maybe it’s something with the mother, or with your own mothering. Whatever comes forward — trust it. And then ask the question that this whole lunation lives inside of: What part of me needs nourishing right now? What part of me craves caretaking? What part of me is asking for a little more love? And then — how can I give this to myself? Subscribe now [%%checkout_url%%] For this ritual, you’ll need: About 15 minutes in a quiet, private space A journal and something to write with Whatever your intuition tells you would feel really good to bring in today. A crystal. An essential oil. A bowl of water. Trust what comes. Settle into your seat, sitting up but soft. Let your shoulders drop. Imagine yourself plugging into the earth beneath you. And when you're ready, place one hand on your belly and one on your heart, and ask the question. After you’ve sat with the ritual — how are you feeling? Take some time to reflect on what surfaced and let yourself continue to write for as long as it feels good. And try not to worry about perfectly articulating what you find. Under this moon, the work isn’t in the action. The most powerful manifestation happens in the feeling itself — the biggest magic we can make is with our desires. Come back to the feeling as many times as you can this cycle.
