Black Women Be Knowing
We are coming off of Teacher Appreciation Week and Mother's Day weekend. Shout out to all the educators and mothers! I am both an educator and a mother so it is an honor to sit with my good Sis who is a fellow educator and mother, Lonice @loniceiswriting. This episode is pure gold. We get into Lonice's 30 years of experience in education, what it means to teach Black history as a form of empowerment and truth-telling and what it means to resist through curriculum. She defines what it means to be a master teacher beyond the job description and we go back to see what and who shaped younger Lonice to become the educator and freedom fighter she is today. #Sankofa Listen, comment, share, connect, subscribe and discuss. Follow @Blackwomenbeknowing on IG. P.S. There were some slight tech issues but the episode is a labor of love. Give grace and enjoy.
