I am both an educator and a mother so it is an honor to sit with my good Sis who is a fellow educator and mother, Lonice @loniceiswriting. This episode is pure gold. On this episode, I sit down with my brilliant friend and sis, Kristina as we discuss why marriage and parenthood are not on the menu for many Black women. We discuss the importance of choice, ongoing reflection and interrogation of the narratives we've been fed. We also get into the toxicity of the manosphere and the work that men need to do before entering the dating pool as well as the issue of women's safety in their partnerships. I make sure we end with a few pop culture headlines too. It's a much needed discussion because let's face it, we're not all going to walk down the aisle and push strollers and that's OK!
