Toxic empathy.
You're not weak or broken. You're not the victim. You survived. You're a warrior
This is a short one. But it meant a lot to me. I've had several people blast me recently about personal things and I felt a need to get it off my chest.
what it means to be a (hu) MAN
From the days of my youth i was told what it means to be a man... now I've reached that age I try to do all those things the best I can. no matter how i try i find my way to the same old jam. Its so true, we're becoming the people we are now from the time we first open our eyes in this world. we begin forming relationships and emotions, fears and behaviors before we even realize. in today's world what it means to be a "Man" is much different than it was. I look at the lessons I learned and how they created a flawed and self destructive " man" i was at times. How I overcame it and continue to grow today.
Coping and negativity
Focusing on negativity is a survival instinct. It's a self defense mechanism designed to keep you alive. But it can lead to all sorts of faulty coping skills in your personal life if not understood.
Relationships amd a closet full of past trauma.
Its a real problem internally that what happened to you often becomes in your mind as what happened BECAUSE of you. Generalizations and faulty thought process creates real problems in relationships. Lets discuss it and hopefully learn better ways.
