Parenting | It Takes a Godly Village
Parenting is one of the greatest blessings—and one of the greatest responsibilities—we'll ever have. Whether you're raising toddlers, teenagers, or adult children, there will always be moments that remind us just how much we need God's wisdom.
In this episode of Bound to Be, we talk about preparing our hearts as camp season begins, the importance of surrounding our children with a strong, godly community, and why no parent was ever meant to do this journey alone. It truly takes a village, and choosing people who will point our children toward Christ can make an eternal difference.
We also share the comfort that comes from taking our worries to God through prayer and petition. There are seasons when we've done everything we know to do, and the only thing left is to trust Him. Learning to "let go and let God" isn't giving up—it's placing our children into the hands of the One who loves them even more than we do.
No matter what stage of parenting you're in, our prayer is that this conversation encourages you to lean on God, pray boldly, and trust Him with the hearts and futures of your children.
In this episode, we discuss:
Preparing for summer camp season
Parenting children through every stage of life
The importance of having a village to help raise your kids
Keeping our children surrounded by a godly community
Seeking God's wisdom through prayer and petition
Trusting God with what is beyond our control
Key Scripture:
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." — Philippians 4:6
