Brown & Beyond's first episode focuses on South Asian LGBTQ+ communities, where LGBTQ+ South Asians are faced with the double whammy of being marginalized within their own communities, in addition to society more broadly. We talk to Giovanna Hunsrao (she/her), a student of Psychology at the University of Amsterdam, and Aurchon Datta (he/him), a Computer Engineering student at the University of Waterloo, about navigating LGBTQ+ spaces as racialized people, LGBTQ+ terminologies in South Asian languages, and much more!
