She was born and raised in the Bahamas, where she attended C.R. Walker High School and then the College of the Bahamas (now University of the Bahamas). She is a recipient of the All Bahamas Merit Award from the Bahamas’ Ministry of Education. On top of a demanding degree, this future doctor is currently President of  Dal’s Caribbean Connection, a dancer, a dance instructor and works part-time at the university clinic.
