How the Turpin Case Exposes Flaws Behind Our Foster Care System with Roger Booth

In this podcast episode, Donna Jones, President and Director of Associate & Client Experience, interviews Roger Booth [https://booth.law/bios/rbooth/], attorney and owner of Booth Law [https://booth.law/bios/rbooth/], to discuss how the Turpin Case exposes flaws within our foster care system. The Turpin case involved David and Louise Turpin of Perris, California, U.S., and the maltreatment of 13 children and dependent adults between the ages of 2 and 29. On the night of January 14, 2018, 17-year-old Jordan Turpin escaped from the family home and contacted the police. Police raided the Turpin home and seized disturbing evidence from the residence. National and international news outlets covered the story extensively due to the number of dependents involved, the degree of abuse, and the protracted nature of the abuse occurring over decades. During this interview, Booth discusses the case in detail, as well as the ways in which he is helping the family receive the care and justice they deserve by exposing the negligence within the foster care system.

Convenience Store Robbery Responsible for Largest Compensatory Verdict in Washington State with Eric Fong

In this podcast episode, Eric Fong, attorney, and owner of Fong Law joins Donna Jones, President, and Director of Associate and Client Experiences with Advocate Capital to talk about the largest compensatory verdict won in the state of Washington.  When Fong's plaintiff walked into a Parkland, Washington, convenience store on November 4, 2015, he was unaware there was a robbery in progress. He was not warned by the store clerk about the situation and was asked by the clerk to call 911.  The plaintiff followed the robber outside and “confronted” the robber when they got into the plaintiff’s car.  Fong’s client suffered a multifocal Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and subsequent epilepsy from being attacked with a baseball bat by the perpetrator.  Fong said, “The physical and emotional fall out from this TBI is nothing short of intense human suffering.” Listen to how Eric Fong was able to deliver justice to his client and bring awareness to store safety.  You can contact Eric Fong Website: ERIC FONG | FONG LAW (ericfonglaw.com) [https://www.ericfonglaw.com/eric-fong] Email: Eric@ericfonglaw.com
