When Jesus finally came on the scene, we would expect an entrance worthy of a superhero movie, but that is not what happened. In John 1:29, John the Baptist says “Behold,the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.” A lamb..THE lamb…a gentle creature with little to no desire to fight. He is the Agnus Dei, the “Lamb of God.”
