Episode 16 Part 1: Why people stay after cheating; How to get a cheating spouse back home; Conflict Avoiders Create Conflict

Episode 16 Part 1: Why people stay after cheating is discovered. We discuss the most common reason people stay in a marriage after discovering their spouse has cheated. If a cheating spouse has left to be with someone else, how does a spouse go about getting them to come home? What difficulties does this create? How does a cheated-on spouse handle this scenario? Conflict Avoiders Create Conflict. Conflict Avoiders are not peacemakers. They actually have a tendency to create a lot of conflict, they avoid the consequence of dealing with the problems they create. But they, not only tend to create a lot of problems, they tend to take actions that make those problems as bad as possible before the spouse inevitably finds out. They then blame their spouse for their avoidance but it's actually a quirk of their personality. It's not the spouse's fault that they hid problems or information until a critical point was reached.
