We’re talking about getting well from the inside with what we know of Ayurveda, one of the oldest Traditional System of Medicine. Ayurveda — ayur meaning life, veda meaning knowledge — is a few thousand years old. And the core idea is that health is balance. So instead of waiting until you are sick and then treating the disease, the system is built around food, daily routine, sleep, seasonal living, herbs, massage, breathing, meditation, and yoga — all designed to keep you in balance so you do not get sick in the first place.After we moved away from India, we forgot how much of Ayurveda was in us. It took distance — and a few “golden milk” menus and wellness trends — to realise, “Oh… this is just how we grew up. This is in our mornings, in our kitchens, in how we take care of ourselves.”Important caveat: Neither of us are trained in Ayurveda nor are we claiming to.
