Fr. Stuart's homily discusses the distinction between the weed and wheat within ourselves, and sometimes it is hard for us to differentiate between the two. There are good graces that God has sown within our souls, but there is also temptation and sin in us as well. In eliminating the weeds, this would effectively take away our free will and choice to love God freely. We must concentrate on the things that will yield a harvest for God thus doing God's will.

In this life, we have a patient God who gives us time to cultivate and nurture our soul, especially through confession. God gives us the grace to change us in a supernatural way in the sacraments.

He encourages us to be receptive to the word of God even when we feel like He can't do much with us. God always finds a way to make his purpose known.

Our founding fathers knew that each person was created equal with unalienable rights. Each person was created in the image and likeness of God.
