A Contaminated Conscience

Hebrews 9:11-28 reveals Jesus Christ as our perfect High Priest who entered the heavenly sanctuary and secured eternal redemption through His own blood. Unlike the repeated sacrifices of the old covenant, Christ's sacrifice was offered once for all, providing complete forgiveness and cleansing of the conscience. In Matthew 17:14–20, Jesus healed a boy who was suffering severely after His disciples were unable to cast out a demon. Later, when the disciples asked why they had failed, Jesus explained that their lack of faith had hindered them. Shadows to Substance

Hebrews 8:1–13 is a powerful declaration that Jesus is the perfect High Priest who mediates a better covenant than the old Mosaic system. The earthly tabernacle and sacrifices were only shadows of the heavenly reality fulfilled in Christ. A Better Hope
