"One of the filthiest (stories) smashed through the newspapers of the nation." The January 11, 1945 story of the "Purple Gang" is told by narration, statements, tape recordings of the participants in the case, as well as actors. "The Voice Of The Underworld" sums up the case. A fascinating radio format, audibly edited on tape (one music cue is late, tape is being heard cued on the air). Where is Myron Selik, "the man with small feet?".
