Come Follow Me Meditations
This peaceful Christian sleep meditation is based on 1 Kings 18–19, part of this week’s Come, Follow Me study: June 29–July 5 “If the Lord Be God, Follow Him” 1 Kings 12–13; 17–22 Tonight, let your heart find rest in one of the most comforting moments in all of scripture. After witnessing the miracle on Mount Carmel, Elijah fled into the wilderness exhausted, discouraged, and afraid. Under a solitary juniper tree, the Lord did not rebuke him. Instead, He fed him, let him sleep, strengthened him for the journey ahead, and finally spoke—not through the wind, the earthquake, or the fire—but through a still, small voice. Whether today has been filled with stress, disappointment, anxiety, or simple exhaustion, this meditation invites you to release tomorrow into God’s hands and rest in the quiet assurance that He is near. Tonight, remember: • God cares for weary souls. • Rest is part of His mercy. • His voice is often found in quietness. • You are never as alone as discouragement tells you. • You are held—even while you sleep. If this meditation blesses you, consider subscribing and joining us each week as we journey through the scriptures together. Sleep peacefully. God is watching over you.
