episode Families That Last cover

Beskrivelse

Jesus promised that problems will come against us, stability for people who build their life upon His Word, and failure to those who hear but don’t build upon the Rock. In Matthew 7, Jesus instructed us to build our home on the rock, not on shifting sand. Wise builders build for worse case scenarios. If you’re only building for good times, you are building for failure. There are for steps to building a family on the rock: 1. Surrender your life and family to Jesus 2. Trust God to meet your needs and care for you 3. Plan for the future 4. Be faithful to church

Rebuilding The Wall Pt. 2 | Family Month

Nehemiah 4:1 (NKJV) But it so happened, when Sanballat heard that we were rebuilding the wall, that he was furious and mocked the Jews. Sanballat wasn’t mad because walls were being rebuilt. He took offense at what the walls represented. Sanballat and Tobiah’s issue with the Jewish people wasn’t their city and wall… it was their worship and their God. Like in Nehemiah’s day, today, we find that anything wholesome, anything modest, and anything righteous infuriates the spirit of this day. Why is it that righteousness is mocked? Because who and what Satan can’t corrupt, he antagonizes. Nehemiah 4:13-14 (NKJV) Therefore I positioned men behind the lower parts of the wall, at the openings; and I set the people according to their families, with their swords, their spears, and their bows. And I looked, and arose and said to the nobles, to the leaders, and to the rest of the people, "Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, great and awesome, and fight for your brethren, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your houses.” Our families are worth fighting for!

Rebuilding The Wall Pt. 1 | Family Month

October is Family Month at Conroe Church. We are basing this series off the story of Nehemiah and his courageous leadership to re-build the wall surrounding Jerusalem. Remember the Lord, great and awesome, and fight for your brethren, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your houses.” The family is the foundational institution of society instituted by God. Families are close to God’s heart. Throughout time, God’s plan has always been for parents to raise up their children to know and love Him and walk in His ways. Society is in the shape it’s in today because families have not diligently taught their children. Three simple truths: 1. It’s not the schools responsibility to raise our children. 2. It’s not Hollywood and Youtube’s responsibility to entertain our children. 3. We must take personal responsibility for the discipleship and Biblical literacy of our families. If we don’t teach our children the Bible, the world will shove its evolutionary, humanistic, atheistic, or New Age religion down their throats.
