One characteristic of the Gospel is that it is divisive. It divides the holy from the unholy. It confronts our idol worship, and the sins we cling so religiously to. In Acts 19, we'll see how the Gospel disrupts cultural norms and empowers followers of Jesus to confront idolatry, which transforms the lives of people, cities and nations. Jesus is the light of the world, and he can transform people and cities from dwellings of darkness to beacons of light to the world. If he can transform cities then, He can do it again.

For some, the news of the Kingdom of Heaven is good news, to others it is very bad news. Jesus is the only King who, and His Kingdom is the only Kingdom that, will last forever. If you align with His Kingdom over any other kingdom, you will be gloriously guilty by association, and you must be prepared to endure what ever suffering comes your way.
