What is a Reserva Series Cigar?

Reserva series or Reserve series are Cuban cigars made by Habanos. It started in 2003 a box of Mixed Cohiba cigars and since then there were 8 other boxes made. The tobacco used to make these cigars is aged a minimum of 3 years, unlike Limited Editions which are made with tobacco aged for 2 years and Gran Reservas with tobacco aged a minimum of 5 years. Reserva cigars hold a silver and black second band, on top of the standard production band. There are only 5,000 numbered boxes made every 2 years containing 20 cigars for the whole world, making them highly sought after cigars for aficionados and collectors. What are Regional Editions Cigars?

Regional Edition cigars are special releases ordered and paid for by distributors and dedicated to their country, region or continent. The first Regional Edition cigars were launched in 2005 and since there were 244 different cigars produced. When a distributor decides to launch a Regional Edition cigar, it chooses the brand among the "Value Brands " or "Other Brand" segment with the exception of Trinidad. The boxes are numbered and they bear a silver and red Regional Edition Band. The cigars also bear this silver and red second band mentioning the location of the Regional Edition such as "Suiza" for Switzerland, "Cuba" or "5TA Avenida" for Fifth Avenue, the official distributor for Germany, Poland and Austria. What are Limited Edition Cigars?

Limited Editions cigars are special release cigars made by Habanos each year since 2000. Unlike Regional Edition cigars the boxes are NOT numbered and we don't know how many boxes are made. There is a black and gold band on the boxes and on the cigars with the words "Edición Limitada" and since 2001 the year is also indicated.  From 2000 to 2022 there were 69 Limited Editions cigars made. What is a Hombre Habano?

Jasim Ahmed, the World No.1 Cuban Cigar Influencer was nominated Hombre Habano in Communication at the 2023 Festival del Habano. He is talking to Habano News and tells us what it means to be a Hombre Habano and tells us about he new projects. Can Ladies Smoke Cigars? Interview of Laura from Cigar Senoritas.

I interviewed Laura from Cigar Senoritas (@cigarsenoritas) at the Marta Bar in Abu Dhabi, the bar of the beautiful Fouquet’s restaurant at the Louvre Museum. I must thank the team there for a great welcome. Laura is a news editor for a major newspaper in Abu Dhabi and a member of the same cigar club I attend. Whilst researching topics for interviews I realised that very little had been done regarding ladies in the cigar scene and therefore I asked Laura who is very active on her @cigarsenoritas instagram page with her friend “Mo”, if she would be willing to talk about what it is like to be a woman in the cigar aficionado world. I am very happy that she accepted my offer. I apologise if the title of the video is considered agressive. The purpose of this video is definitely to demonstrate that ladies are an important par of the cigar scene and are, like Laura, very comfortable in a traditionally male dominated world were their number grows steadily. Just like it was very unusual to see a lady winemaker 20 years ago, nowadays woman are making some of the best wines in the industry and it is no surprise that women are not only making the best cigars, they are also smoking and enjoying them.
