Description

PRESENTED AT CURWENSVILLE ALLIANCE ON 5/17/26 BY PASTOR STEVE SHIELDS. Listen as Pastor Steve goes through Philippians 3:12-4:1 using a highway analogy. [https://www.curwensvillealliance.org/podcasts/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/SermonOnlySlide-2-1024x576.jpg] Take the on ramp. You have to decide that you are going to follow Jesus. Leave the past behind. You can find forgiveness for the past in Christ. Move forward through the traffic. You will need to regularly evaluate your progress as you move through life. Look at the mindset of the better drivers. Look beyond their acts and adopt their midset. Spend time with Godly people. Look how Christ has changed you. You belong to a different world. God is continually transforming you.

When You’re Off Kilter

PRESENTED AT CURWENSVILLE ALLIANCE ON 7/05/26 BY PASTOR STEVE SHIELDS When you’re off kilter, something’s gotta change. Listen as Pastor Steve goes through Psalm 32. [https://www.curwensvillealliance.org/podcasts/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/Clipboard01-1024x576.jpg] Three signs that maybe something’s gotta change. You feel a holy dissatisfaction. You don’t feel right about yourself. You feel like avoiding God. Where is this off-kilter-ness coming from? The Hand of God. Our own spiritual awareness. A reluctance to receive God’s redemptive proclamation. How do you pursue the change you need? Talk with God about the change. Trust God for deliverance. Share your experience with others. Resist the lies about God’s trustworthiness. The essence of faith is trust. Live with a heart in tune with God’s.

What Am I Supposed to Do?

PRESENTED AT CURWENSVILLE ALLIANCE ON 6/21/26 BY PASTOR STEVE SHIELDS. What do you think God wants you to do with your life? There are some wrong answers like God wants me to have a good time. Or God wants me to do something “spiritual”. Just because God doesn’t call you to something that we generally label as “ministry work” doesn’t mean He doesn’t care what you do with your life. There are some fundamentals of serving God. God doesn’t need you to do anything. It is a privilege to be called to do anything for God. God is interested in forming you as a person. God wants you to make sure your life shows that You’ve been chosen by God. He wants you to make good things happen. God wants you to glorify Christ by being like Christ. There are certain things in this world that God has for you to do, and you’re just the right person to do them!

Still True

PRESENTED AT CURWENSVILLE ALLIANCE ON 6/7/26 BY REV SCOTT REAM. Rev Scott Ream takes us through Romans 8 to show what God wants you to know in your hardest season with 5 truths. [https://www.curwensvillealliance.org/podcasts/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Clipboard01-1024x576.jpg] God sees you. You are known, and you are His! God didn’t look away. He saw it. He saw all of it. God didn’t do this. Creation is groaning. This is not God’s design. God built a garden. Sin broke it. And as a result everything on this planet is broken. On earth, God’s will is often resisted. God’s seeing is not the same as God’s causing. God grieves with you. The Spirit of God groans with us. God could eliminate all evil. But to do that, He would need to eliminate us. The Spirit groans. Creation groans. We groan. And the Spirit groans with us. Nothing is wasted. God works in all things. Not all things are good. Romans 8:28 does not say everything that happens is good. It does not say everything that happens is God’s will. It says God works in all things. Redemption doesn’t erase the wound. It give the wound a future. God won’t let go. No condemnation. No separation. Nothing. Your pain is not God’s punishment. God is not keeping score. If God is for us, who can be against us. One day the table will be full again. Every seat filled. Every person present. No more empty chairs.
