Dave B and Dave D are waiting for your messages! [https://www.buzzsprout.com/twilio/text_messages/1185311/open_sms] This episode is a special bonus, which we are delighted to release to coincide with a brand new craft brewery being launched in the UK. Coldframe Brewing [https://coldframebeer.com/] is launching today, May 2, and we were able to talk to the man behind the project, Simon Court, just days before the big launch. Simon's ethos is to brew beers that are connected to the local area, in this case Cornwall. Simon is passionate about creating and sourcing ingredients that are part of the local area and community. We sample the two beers that are being released today, and both feature unmalted barley, which provides a different taste experience, and is something Simon has perfected for Coldframe following months of research and experimentation. If you are able to get down to Flow And Tracks for the big launch in Lostwithiel then Simon plus previous Daftaboutcraft guests Ideal Day will be in attendance today and tomorrow for a special launch party, but if not don't worry as Coldframe beers have been released into the wild across the UK as well! We're delighted to be backed by Craft Brew Festival [https://craftbrewfestival.co.uk/], curators of a unique beer festival tour across Britain, and Mosaic Board Print [https://www.mosaic-boardprint.com/], manufacturers of epic beermats.

Sulwath Brewery [https://www.sulwathbrewers.co.uk/] have been operating for 30 years this year and were an amazing surprise to both Daves in our feature interview. Scott Henderson is the third generation of the family to be involved in the brewery and he got in touch having listened to previous episodes. If you want classic beers brewed to an exceptionally high standard, Sulwath are for you. When was the last time you had a beer from Vocation [https://www.vocationbrewery.com]? Dave and Dave hadn't had one for a long time, but put that right in Pints Of View, as Hebden Bridge's finest square off against Briarbank Brewery [https://briarbank.org/brewery/] from Ipswich and Conwy Brewery [https://conwybrewery.co.uk/] from Colwyn Bay. Two trips to the seaside are the order of the day for our Brew To Me feature as we try beers for the first time from Morecambe Bay-based Accidental Brewery [https://www.accidentalbrewery.com/] and Fat Head Brewery [https://fatheadbrewery.com/] from Weston Super-Mare. All this and more in the latest episode of Daftaboutcraft, the craft beer podcast! We're delighted to be backed by Craft Brew Festival [https://craftbrewfestival.co.uk/], curators of unique beer festival experiences across Britain, and Mosaic Board Print [https://www.mosaic-boardprint.com/], manufacturers of epic beermats.

We love finding out about the people behind the beer, and in James and Nia Rylance, aka Ideal Day Family Brewery [https://idealdaybrewery.com/] from Cornwall, there's a great story to be told. James will probably be able to forget more about beer than most people will ever learn, having been around the scene for a long time - and he has a fascinating story to tell. Now working as Ideal Day alongside wife Nia, the pair are putting out some excellent beers that are traditionally rooted but with modern twists. Some listeners may find Pints Of View contains upsetting scenes as we give Tiny Rebel's Clwb Tropica [https://www.tinyrebel.co.uk/beer/clwb-tropica-1210] the onceover after many years spent not drinking it. Warning, it does not go well. But we do find some lovely alternatives from Neckstamper Brewing [https://neckstamper.com/] and Zulu Alpha Brewing [https://www.zulualphabrewing.com/]. Meanwhile, Brew To Me features a pair of beauties, courtesy of Bluntrock Brewery [https://www.bluntrockbrewery.co.uk/] and Lyme Regis Brewery [https://www.lymeregisbrewery.com/]. All this and more in the latest episode of Daftaboutcraft, the craft beer podcast! Rewind to 2024 and both Daves were blown away by a new brewery putting out excellent pales. Dark Element Brew Co [https://darkelementbrewing.co.uk/] proved the hype was real with a stunning first year of brewing, and the man behind the magic, Tom Kendall, joins us to discuss how the year has been, as well as enjoying some birthday beers to mark the occasion! Another brewery celebrating a milestone is Cloudwater [https://cloudwaterbrew.co/?srsltid=AfmBOopTBpV_kpXBqafiEW9GVaaMSNexQAqsoSI_z-pNzkH9bPmPXjdi], who have turned ten this year. To mark the occasion, the Manchester giants have put out six birthday beers. Are they hype, or are they tripe? There's only one way to find out . . . Brew To Me takes in a trip to Lancashire with Turtle Head Brewing Company [https://www.turtleheadbrewingcompany.co.uk/], who not only brew good beer, but donate to charity and have a very moving story to tell. Our Brewery [https://www.ourbrewerygeb.com/] may have featured on a previous episode, but Dave B hadn't tried their beers, until now! All this and more on the latest episode of Daftaboutcraft, the craft beer podcast. We're delighted to be backed by Craft Brew Festival [https://craftbrewfestival.co.uk/], curators of unique beer festival experiences across Britain, and Mosaic Board Print [https://www.mosaic-boardprint.com/], manufacturers of epic beermats.

Ben's story on how he overcame alcoholism and has become an authority on alcohol-free craft beer is inspiring, fascinating and unflinching in equal measure. The craft beer scene has caught up to making quality alcohol-free beer and in some part that is due to people like Ben, who have championed the cause. For a different, and eye-opening chat, make sure to give this a listen.
