When cold cases are looked at, many officers believe the name of the culprit is already held within the paperwork. Time can restrict an investigation as people move away, forget details or pass away. But it also works in the other way, that loyalties change, people lose the fear of being found out or their conscience finally gets to them and new information is given.  Between 1993 and 1998, six women disappeared under mysterious circumstances within a geographical area now referred to as the Vanishing Triangle:Annie McCarrick (1993): An American student living in Dublin, Annie was last seen boarding a bus to Enniskerry. Despite extensive searches, no trace of her has been found. Fiona Pender (1996): A 25-year-old pregnant woman from Tullamore, Fiona disappeared without a trace. Ciara Breen (1997): A 17-year-old from Dundalk, Ciara vanished after sneaking out of her home one night. Fiona Sinnott (1998): Fiona was last seen leaving a pub in County Wexford. Despite ongoing searches, her case remains unsolved. Jo Jo Dullard (1995): Disappeared while hitchhiking home to Kilkenny from Dublin. Her last known contact was a phone call made from a phone box in Moone, County Kildare. In the spring of 2024, the town of Salford again found itself at the centre of a nightmare when parts of a human body started turning up all over the city. This including an abandoned bunker, the banks of a quiet reservoir, and multiple parks. However, the only clue they would find was from grainy surveillance footage of a lone man carrying heavy shopping bags through quiet streets. I first became aware of the cases of Baby Victoria and Baby Ava as both cases happened just a few steps away from my home on the edge of Farnworth. The two cases are very different at first, both centring on the death of a new born child. Both include mothers probably desperate at the time both controlled no doubt by a man who is always right. #mystery #unsolved #coldcase  Baby Victoria Tragic Death Constance Marten and Mark Gordon guilty of two charges - Constance Marten and Mark Gordon were found guilty of concealing the birth of a child and perverting the course of justice.  On a cold morning in Nov 2023 baby Ava was abandoned in a snowy field. She had been stored in a freezer before being buried. Police have DNA and are looking for family members to solve the mystery of Ava's identity.
