Ep. 19: Come all of you, good drummers-The Notes of Dissent Interview

They say in Denver County, there are no neutrals there. We're joined by Birb, Lemon, and Nathan from the soundtrack to your protests, Notes of Dissent! We fight through recording issues and funky pauses to have a truly fun conversation about Notes' origin story, the relationship between music and protest movements, and fit it some Martin Luther talk. We also talk about Notes of Dissent all banger, all the time playlist and get into some Real Music Theory talk. Episode was originally recorded *before* No Kings Two (where Notes of Dissent was present, of course). Be sure to come out to the Notes of Dissent concert at the Boulder Public Library Saturday, October 25th at 10:30. Ep. 17: Let them eat Krispy Kreme

The government is shut down and the 16th street mall reopens. Coincidence? We bust open the blue books (Yes on LL and MM), shill for the Wolf license plate, and fear for the City of Denver’s proprietary Roko’s Basilisk. Then we discuss the surprising results from a Colorado Polling Institute survey of Denver voters, namely that socialism is more popular than capitalism and the DPD only has a 51% approval rating. Also conservatives continue to be little bitches scared of their own shadows. We also do some genuine reporting and break the news that Mayor Mike Johnston and his 46% approval rating does not bring enough donuts to his constituent events. The Gaza Flotilla sank in the Mediterranean and ICE is doing War on Terror type shit in Illinois, but the President’s son got some strange, so, you know, a mixed bag.
