We should be seeking His kingdom and His righteousness first every single day of our lives. Does your allegiance belong to the things of this world, or does it belong to the living God? God is a jealous God. If any man love the things of the world, the love of the Father is not in him. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth and He will guide us into all truth. God’s Word is truth, and when we know the truth, the truth will make us free. When we hear, know, and believe the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ, then our eyes are no longer blinded by the god of this world, but rather they are opened by the glorious gospel of Christ. Satan wants us to be ignorant of the knowledge of God’s Word. Jesus did not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. We have all sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God. The only way to be reconciled back to God the Father, is through His Son, Jesus Christ, who He has sent. Jesus loves us very much. Today is the day of salvation!

Repentance requires not only a change of mind, but also a change of action! God’s grace that He has given us is absolutely not a license to sin! If we love Jesus, we will keep His commandments. It’s truly time to repent of our sin. Let’s choose to call Him “Lord”, and to also truly do what He says! It’s time to deny ourselves, take up our cross daily, and follow Jesus.
