Many complications associated with diabetes type 1 and type 2 are related to vitamin B1 deficiency. Vitamin B1, or thiamine, supports a healthy nervous system and the process that turns fuel into usable energy in the body. The liver doesn’t actually cause aging spots or liver spots. These spots are caused by too much melanin, which is a skin pigment.
