Rachel Calabrese, Founder & Executive Director of ConfiKids, joined Rob Hogan on Easy 99.1's South of Boston program. Together, they discussed ConfiKids, a nonprofit organization that strives to provide opportunities for children of limited financial means to participate in enrichment activities, and the organization's upcoming gala on April 12th.

Abby Parrilla, the CEO of Arc of the South Shore, joined Rob on Easy 99.1's South of Boston program. Arc of the South Shore has been helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism, live their best lives and achieve high-quality outcomes since 1951. Arc of the South Shore strives to empower family and individuals of all ages with disabilities to reach their fullest potential, and Rob and Abby discussed how The Arc works to empower individuals and how you can become a Friend of the Arc.

Gnome Surf welcomes athletes of all abilities and continues to make waves across the South Shore and Southern New England. The Gnome Surf team is part of the Hometown Heroes celebration!

Jen Walker is the leader of the "Helping Hands" group for residents at Halifax Estates in Halifax, MA.  Jen was nominated as a Hometown Hero by her neighbor Libby Cierri for her outstanding efforts to foster a sense of community and organizing assistance for neighbors in need. From rides to doctor's appointments or hospitals for neighbors in need to organizing the annual community yard sale, Jen is the neighbor we all need who thrives and loves brining her community together!
