Elope in Colorado
Is Loveland Pass worth the hype? Short answer: yes, fully. After 50+ elopements here and a lifetime of living in Colorado, it's one of the locations we recommend without hesitation. The variety of scenery is hard to beat: aspen groves, a mountain lake, and that wide-open summit feeling, and it photographs beautifully at multiple times of day. Sunrise is especially special here because the window of soft, even light lasts significantly longer than at most alpine locations, which means more room to breathe and fewer rushed shots. A few things to know that Google won't tell you: it gets busy on weekends, so weekdays are your best bet for real privacy. The altitude is serious, so come hydrated, acclimated, and fed. And keep your guest count small. This is fragile alpine tundra, not a venue, and it's best experienced as just the two of you or with a tight group of up to 10. Treat it well and it will absolutely deliver.
