This is it - the real last episode for the Chronologist Chronicles! Karazarak's return is no longer a looming threat (for now), but the party still has some things to do. . .notably tending to their fallen ally. Hieronymous is struck with a touch of melancholy, as this is not the return he was expecting, while the others help and prepare for the next leg in their personal journeys. Vinique completes their very important mission. After the wrap-up, we have a little tidbit about what the characters decide to do in the following year. The Chronologists part and go their separate ways, but their stories are not finished yet. The Chroniclers check in with their allies after clearing the Rumbledome and interrupting the ritual taking place. Unfortunately, the pillar of light above Waldman's Menagerie turns red. The light from the east and west rends the sky asunder with crimson lightning as they draw toward the center of the city causing damage to the infrastructure. The elder twin Stabman, Prince Archibald is confirmed alive by the party, if not happy and healthy. Their position immediately revealed to the enemy, the team leaps from the stands and into action, cutting down Black Knights and cultists alike. A bald and annoying cult leader pretends he's cool enough to get into a wizard fight with Roscoe but learns the true nature of badass magic the hard way. The Chroniclers confront the Azarai Priestess and Cultists of Karazarak in the mausoleum at the center of the Queen's Grove. There the weaving of a hideous arcane ritual has begun, but the cultists are not the only ones who deal in blood when the fate of an entire city is on the line. Snarl keeps a foot in each realm of harm and heal, Xyfiel learns blood is thicker than water, Stabman screams the entire time, and Roscoe casts echoes beyond time and space.
