episode Learning to Be Present | Every Day Matters cover

Description

Why do relationships feel so strained even when we care deeply about the people around us? In Luke 10, Jesus shows how distraction, anxiety, and unspoken expectations slowly damage our relationships. We don’t drift from the people we love all at once. It happens little by little, day by day. Through the story of Mary and Martha (Luke 10:38–42), we explore how biblical relationships grow through presence, communication, and resting our identity in God instead of performance. Jesus invites us to slow down, love intentionally, and prioritize what matters most with both Him and the people we love.

There is Another King | _ like Jesus (wk 1)

Who is really shaping the way you think? In a world filled with competing voices, loyalties, and definitions of success, Philippians reminds us that there is another King. Jesus is not just a part of our lives. He is Lord. And following Him changes the way we relate to God and one another.  Paul’s letter to the Philippians declares that the gospel is the royal announcement of King Jesus, not Caesar. Philippians 1:1–11 explores how making Jesus Lord produces gratitude, confidence in God’s faithfulness, deep love for others, and spiritual maturity. The goal is not simply to know more about Jesus, but to become more like Him. About this series: What does it mean to have the “mind of Christ” and actually become like Jesus, not just in the big moments, but in the quiet patterns of our thinking, choices, and relationships? The book of Philippians opens a window into the mindset that led Jesus to humility, obedience, and even the cross, while still anchored in joy. Let’s fill in the blank, and discover what it’s like to approach every part of life “like Jesus.”
