The Being of God

Pastor Josh continues our summer series on the attributes of God, structured around Westminster Shorter Catechism Q&A 4. In Acts 17:22-31 Paul speaks to the cultural elite in Athens and seeks explain how the divine being we know as the God of the Bible is far different from their conception of God. He is all-sufficient, incomprehensible, and simple. In all these ways his being is completely unlike us, and yet we should be astounded and awestruck that this very God draws near to us through creating to us, speaking to us, and even becoming one of us in Jesus Christ, God the Son made man. Jesus is Coming

Pastor Josh continues our series in Malachi, looking at Malachi 2:17-3:5. This prophecy of the coming of Jesus teaches us to anticipate his second coming. When Jesus came the first time, he inaugurated an age in which he primarily is doing the work of refining his church. And when he comes again he will judge the world, beginning with his church.
