Standing Before God

Pastor Joshua preaches on Zechariah 3. When Joshua the High Priest stands before God, we learn that on our own we stand condemned before God. But the good news is that Jesus has taken our filthy garments on himself and paid for our sin on the cross, and he gives us robes of perfect righteousness. And not only do we stand clothed before God when we put our faith in Christ, but we live in those clothes, as we stand called to point to Christ as testaments to his great grace in our lives. The Being of God

Pastor Josh continues our summer series on the attributes of God, structured around Westminster Shorter Catechism Q&A 4. In Acts 17:22-31 Paul speaks to the cultural elite in Athens and seeks explain how the divine being we know as the God of the Bible is far different from their conception of God. He is all-sufficient, incomprehensible, and simple. In all these ways his being is completely unlike us, and yet we should be astounded and awestruck that this very God draws near to us through creating to us, speaking to us, and even becoming one of us in Jesus Christ, God the Son made man. Jesus is Coming
