Low Maintenance vs. Bare Minimum

Send a text [https://www.buzzsprout.com/twilio/text_messages/2430030/open_sms] It took me years to realize the difference between being a low maintenance person, and i was actually proud in the way that I moved in certain relationships (friendships in particular). Checking in on your people, regardless of how often...is the BARE. MINIMUM! It's the LEAST you can do as a friend/loved one. Reaching out to check in on someone and to see how they're doing. How their life is going is the genuine bare basic tasks that one can do as a friend and loved on. Understand that to be low maintenance doesn't not mean you reach out every 8 months, have a quick chat, and then go ghost on each other for another 2 years. Low maintenance means that you do not ask for, nor do you require a lot to be present in their life and to play your role. You can show up by just calling them and sitting on the phone/FaceTime. You can make the time to grab a quick coffee and chat about life. Don't get complacent in BARELY showing up for the people in your life. It truly does not require a lot to be there for someone. Venting

Yes, you should be wary and mindful to who you talk to. But venting should not be criticized as this automatically horrible thing that we do. As humans, we have to be able to get emotions out and express them. Yes,  again. be wary and mindful of who you talk to....but if you need to talk...do it. Whether it be on consistent friend, a therapist, whoever it may be. I appreciate you for tuning into my rambles and rants! Thanks for listening :)

Being Intentional

I believe that when you move with intention, and then everything you do coincides and is aligned with that intention? There is little to no room for toxicity and negativity. Granted, you can't control what people do, how people feel, or how they choose to interpret your words and actions. HOWEVER, you can ALWAYS be clear and HONEST with your intentions and everything else will work out the way it's supposed to.  I appreciate you for tuning into my rambles and rants!
