episode #19: Maximillian Giamarco on tinkering, volatility, and surpassing bad habits. cover

Description

This impromptu episode happened because my friend and former Twitter poster Gordon "GT" Fang said I should talk to Maximillian, since we had similar philosophies on life. I expected to talk for 30 minutes and we went for 2 hours because we indeed have a lot in common. We talked about tinkering with different projects, jobs and ways of life, and how to embrace volatility and emotional alignment without going too far into negative habits. Lots of talk about the philosophies of Nassim Taleb, Paul Portesi, and surviving the 4HL while trying to find payoffs on the side and freedom.  I also talked too much about my transition into a life as a contractor and journalism, and Maximillian shed light on what its like being an emergency medical technician (EMT) while learning to code and trying to end his bad habits.   --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/frank-talks-to-anyone/message
