A Discussion with Professor Tom Gold

Tom Gold is Professor of Sociology at UC Berkeley. He previously served as Executive Director of the Inter-University Program for Chinese Language Studies (IUP). While pursuing his PhD at Harvard, he was among the first group of American exchange students to study in the People’s Republic of China.  Professor Gold shares his passion and experience in the study of Chinese language, society, politics as well as US-China academic exchange.
