Pilgrim’s Progress by John Bunyan   Christian and Hopeful are faced with one test after another on this leg of their journey, but they continue to make progress towards the City of Zion. Pilgrim’s Progress by John Bunyan   The tired pilgrims reach the Delectable Mountains where they encounter four shepherds, Knowledge, Experience, Watchful, and Sincere, who resemble faithful pastors imparting wisdom to their flocks. We get to preview the effects sin has in the life of a believer as the two pilgrims are brutally beaten by Giant Despair and trapped in Doubting Castle. After this encounter, they meet Demas beside the path who invites them to turn aside to see a silver mine. Finally, they come across Lot’s wife, who was turned into a pillar of salt.
